1899674_753032351453417_3218939037440965780_oI send forth good thoughts of peace, love, hope and joy to all of humanity. Especially love. For this is. the only true commandment. That you love Creator with all of your heart, mind and spirit, and second that you love your self and that you love all others and all of creation. In this is the whole of Creator’s law. There is no other. Love is always the answer. ~Eaglechild

The Wings That Fly Us Home

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

“The Wings That Fly Us Home” by John Denver and Joe Henry. A song of inspiration, love and hope. The link below will lead you to it. John explains at the beginning of the video how this song came about.

The Wings That Fly Us Home

After my last post earlier today, I laid down to take a bit of a nap.  After I awoke, I really didn’t know what to do, so I was playing a game on my computer.  While playing the game a song came to mind written by the late John Denver and his friend Joe Henry. It felt related to what I wrote earlier.  It is a song that has inspired and guided me at times for many years. It often comes to mind when I feel a little down or just uncertain. It always lifts me up and helps me to refocus on what…

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

Too often we define love not by what it is by what we want it to be. Love is infinite and knows no limit. Likewise it is part of the universe, and the essence of our creator that flows through us. It is not something we desire, it is the very essence of our life and our being. It is that which connects us to our Creator and to each other. ~Eaglechild

Don’t be afraid – The Divine Mother through Isabel Henn July 09, 2013

Sirian Heaven

(Translated from original language german)

Don’t be afraid of fear, my child, fear is only an illusion and an illusion can do nothing to you. Look behind the fear. What has triggered the fear? What are you afraid of? Look at it and then laugh at it. Laughter raises your vibrations and is stronger than fear, stronger than the illusion that is just only an imagination. Nothing really existing. Look at it, laugh at it and then let it go. That simple. There is nothing, but really NOTHING that you should be afraid of. You are surrounded by Angels and Light who protect you as far as it is allowed to them and they don’t infringe your life plan. Don’t give energy to fear anymore, then it will leave your life. I am with you, my child, and I help you with pleasure if you wish it. I too spread…

Today is my birthday and my gift to you is Love, Joy, Peace and Light.

I was born (this incarnation) into this world as David Wendel Robinson (Bravo), on June 24, 1952 in Denver, Colorado at 4:25 AM.  I live now in the Philippines and my adopted Filipino family are here with me this day, to celebrate my birthday.  All (3 families) of them.  The gifts I receive are friends, family, love and caring.  Oh and lots of good homemade food.

Technichally  my actual statistical birthday is still a few hours away due to the time differences between the Philippines and Denver, Colorado USA.  But that doesn’t really matter.  Time is an illusion.  What matters is that I am surrounded by people who care for me.  That is the greatest gift I can receive.   This is my 66th birthday.  It is in some way very special.

But for me, birthdays are not about what…

Shak’ta’i ~ They Who Remember

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

earth-1571179_1280 CC0 Creative Commons -Free for commercial use. No attribution required

This is a rather odd post for me.  I won’t even pretend to understand everything I write about fully.  Many years ago (perhaps a decade or two) a word, sound or name kept appearing in my dreams and meditations.  Shaktai or “Shak’ta’i”.  I didn’t know if it was a name I was used (tried it a few times but didn’t feel right) or what exactly it was.  Several days ago (perhaps a week or two, I loose track of time on occasion) I finally, after many years had what I think is referred to as a lucid dream.  In this dream it was finally shown me (well I should say I finally understood) what Shak’ta’i meant.

The earth years can be estimated by science, but the history of earth and the souls that inhabit it, is different then what most…

Please forgive me, as I know many of you, have seen and read this before.  But I had a strong feeling to share this with as many people as possible, right now.   Please take the time to ponder it again and meditate upon the words here and measure them in your own life and soul.

Max Ehrman’s “Desiderata” (that which is to be desired).  Share it freely, but it is a copyrighted material.  Do not attempt to make profit off of it (I do not make profit off of my blogs).   Please Honor Max’s intent, that this should be an inspiration to all people.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,

no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

All the generations before us have their stories, both ugly and beautiful. Let us always remember that humanity is not many people but one people.  Not many nations, but one world.   We all have the same Divine roots, and the same Divine souls. Despite material differences, in the end we are all one people, one nation, on family.  When any part of humanity suffers, we all suffer.  Regardless of race, creed or nationality, we all have the same divine roots.  We are all children of the creator, of the universe.  We are all one, and what happens to any happens to all.

Love is the way, the only way.
Love is the answer, the only answer.
Love is life.

Love, joy and peace to all.

When all else fails… Smile!

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

Smiling Trike Driver, Tarlac Philippines.

Life is often a challenge.  The real test is not what we do, but how we do it.  Living life, even a hard life with a smile on your face, and a bounce in your step.  Trikes, in the Philippines are a small motorcycle (usually between 100-155cc engines which are very small) with a covered side car for carrying passengers.  They work long hours, every day, most of which is spent waiting to catch a fair.  Yet they manage, they support themselves and their families and still find a reason to smile and be happy.   There are no taxi’s where I live, and the buses (Jeepney) are more then a bit confusing to figure out if you do not know the area.  Living in the Philippines, has taught me humility if nothing else, and the one thing I have learned is find a way…

The Tapestry of God’s Creation

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

dualsunset This image shows the infinite beauty of God’s creation in the same day. A golden moment as the sun prepares to set, and after dusk, as the light fades with the sun below the horizon, still God creates with a beautiful tapestry of love in shades of blues and purples.

Creator is active always in our lives. Each moment is a miracle of creation. The Tapestry of God’s creation is infinite and within a single moment lives every expression.   And Creator’s expression is always love filled with beauty and wonder.

The minutes, hours, years, and days of our lives are but an illusion. Each moment creator is creating opportunity for all that we need. We only have to open our hearts and spirits to receive it. The tapestry of creator is infinite. It is only our self imposed limits of perception that hold us back. Live in this moment…

Sunrise, Sunset: The Circle of Life

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

Sunrise- Sunset

Life is never stagnet.  It is in a constant state of change.  Within the material earth experience we experience this each and every day. Sunrise, we celebrate the daylight and activity, sunsets we celebrate the night and rest. Of course not alway that exact way for each person has their own individual cycle.  The important thing is to understand that life is a constant state of change.  Nothing remains the same forever.  To do so would be the only true death, because not moving forward means being left behind.  The universe and all of creation is never stagnant.  Neither can your life be so.

Families change, relationships change, friendships change.   Leaving behind one experience does not mean you are leaving behind everything.  Each experience carries forward with us, expanding our knowledge and understanding.  Even in relationships, often they will change over and over again during the course of the…

The Path You Were Meant to Be On

Love is the light that lights our way.

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

Life is a marvelous journey.  However it can also be an uncertain journey.  As we travel the many roads of our lives, we are often faced with decisions that are difficult.  For some, the way is clear, for others, not so much.  In our lives we all make decisions and choices.  Sometimes those decisions are clear and easy and sometimes filled with uncertainty.  In my experience, the best way to navigate through life is to follow one’s heart.   The way may or may not be easy, but so often in life we are in a state of transition, and the choices we make may not directly take us to where we think we want to be, but rather take us to the path we are intended to be upon.

The easy road may not always be the right way.  Sometimes the best road is the one that challenges us…

A New World is Coming and the Future is Bright

Love is always the answer. Love is always the way. ~Brother David

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

Do not despair my brothers and sisters.  For all the outward turmoil in the Earth today there is great hope on the horizon.   Do not worry for the time, for spirit knows no time.  The future is written in the dreams of our ancestors and in the love of our children.  It will be a good earth, a new earth.

Many will say the old prophecies did not come true, but they are still coming true.  For the time before a birth is difficult, the time of giving birth is painful.  Yet there is a great joy to come. A great hope.  We are even now in the birthing pains of a new world that will be filled with love and light.

The new generations are being born and they will remember and they will bring forth a new world, based on love, compassion and hope.  All that is…

Wings of Love

I woke up this morning and this was on my mind. A sat down and it all just flowed. Enjoy, and remember who you truly are. ~Brother David

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

Dear brother’s and sisters.  While some would have you believe that you are merely flesh and blood, destined for suffering in a material world, I would tell you differently.  Flesh and blood are only a temporary vehicle for your soul to learn. Think of your body as your school uniform.  You are here to learn in an accelerated fashion, but remember that your true nature is always spirit.

Take care for your body, your temporary uniform, for it serves its purpose, but focus on your lessons, which are lessons of spirit and love.   You are not fallen souls, or sinners or misguided children of the creator.  You are children born of the love of a creator who is both father and mother.  And the child of creator is unconditional love.  So you see you are born of the purest and highest love without judgement or condition.   Embrace your…

The Answer is Always Love

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

Spirituality isn’t about what church, we attend or what religion we honor. It is about how we live. Neither God or the prophets ever created a church or religion. Such things are made by people, after the prophets of the ages were gone, usually for the purpose of control or to profit from the teachings of the great prophets.

All the great spiritual teachers have taught compassion for others and love as a way of life, not just words to be spoken. Even if you attend church or temples everyday, pray and meditate endlessly but have not love, then you have nothing. Love for all people, and acts of compassion to all people and all of God’s creation are the only true measure of your soul.

The answer is ALWAYS love.

You Are Worthy!

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

You are worthy!

Okay the title says it all. That is the entire lesson. You can stop reading now if you want to.

One of the greatest challenges of humanity is believing in ourselves.  We are all, in spirit, divine beings, children of the creative source of all, children of God, and in our essence we lack for nothing. We are worthy of everything that is good and in balance.

In the course of the human material experience, humanity has come to see itself as something less then part of the infinite divine essence that is the universe, for all that is, is of the creative source.  There is no place or nothing where the perfection of creative source does not exist, except in our limited human thinking.

My dear brothers and sisters, my kindred souls of light, you are worthy of all good.  You are free to have it. …

Happiness is a State of Mind

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

Clip art from FBProfileCovers.com Clip art from FBProfileCovers.com

I not so long ago had someone who is familiar with the financial and relationship difficulties I have faced in the Philippines tell me that there is “no way” I could be happy here.  I felt so sorry for them because I knew they really did not know what happiness is.

Happiness is a state of mind.  It comes from finding the simple joys and pleasures of life even in difficult times.  It is not a matter of having everything go smoothly and great in life, it is a matter of just knowing that despite the challenges that life throws at us and sometimes the results of less then ideal decisions that we make, we still can find within a state of being whereby we are “happy”.   It doesn’t mean the difficulties have gone away nor does it mean we have overcome every obstacle, but…

The Most Important Part of Life is the Journey

Love the journey of your life. It is without beginning or end.

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

_1010763-Edit Fisherman on his Journey of Life – Subic Bay Philippines.

Have your ever noticed how often people are fixated on getting to destinations in life?  How often they say use the “when” word.  When I get to this  point?  When I have this or that?  When I meet this or that person?

Life and spiritual growth are not about destinations.  It is all about the journey.  There is no point of enlightenment.  No moment of perfect realization.  No “When I get to this place or this understanding then I will be done”.

You were created perfectly in the image and likeness of God, creative source.  You are on a journey that never ends and it is called life and self expression.  There are no degrees, no graduation ceremonies.  Maybe for some a few landmark moments when they have pushed beyond a particular limit, but the journey continues.  You are…

Spirituality – It ain’t no big thing.

Contemplations of a Modern Mystic

subic bay, philippines Subic Bay, Philippines

Okay, before the language police come online, let me state that I know that the headline is not correct English.  I just used what spirt, my higher self or whatever, popped into my head.   And yes, contrary to what some people say, AIN’T is a word.  It is a contraction for “am not”  However it is not correctly used as a contraction for “is not”.  End of English lesson.

I was happily playing around on my computer when I thought that my last post was a little rambling and labored.  Not as smooth as I would like, but it is what it is.   So then I thought to myself, “I wonder what will be next and when?”  I was looking forward to a few relaxing days to get my thoughts together and then write my next post.

Let this be a lesson to everyone to…
